Your Purple Patch Trainingpeaks account includes an optional library of alternate and supplemental sessions that you can use to further customize your training.
To access the Optional Workout Library, open your TrainingPeaks calendar and click the "Workout Library" icon on the left side of your screen. Then select Optional Workout Library (Purple Patch).
Inside, you'll find:
- Mobility and core sessions: short, low-impact sessions for when you are feeling stiff or sore, struggling with mobility, or simply want a bit of structured movement on a rest day
- Prep and Recovery sessions: perfect sessions for “bookending” smaller races like a sprint tri or 10K that don’t need a full race build
- Heavy Lifting sessions: these are a great supplement your existing strength training, especially in the off-season or if you simply want to place more focus on strength
- Alternate sessions including open water and swim band sessions, walking workouts, and more
- Endurance/Resilience focused sessions to drop in when you want to moderate intensity or add low-impact volume to your training
To add a workout from the Optional Workout Library, simply drag the workout from the library into your calendar onto your preferred date.
