Leslie Mellett: My New Mantra - Trust the Process!
So yesterday I did IM 70.3 CT as a training day for IM Nice France on June 30. If you recall, I was worried that maybe I hadn't done enough training. Yesterday put the question to rest. I had a strong bike (bike course has 3800 ft of climbing) that I rode at my Ironman race pace. I got off the bike STILL feeling good. My legs had a lot of life in them. Good thing too because the run was also hilly (elevation gain of 776 ft). I truly felt like the Energizer Bunny yesterday -- I could have kept going and going. Trust the process is my new mantra.
Now I am going into the final prep before Nice and trusting the process.
