Marathon PB & first podium finish - a good start to Squad !
I joined Squad 2 months ago, after transitioning from a "normal" IM coaching program. I'd been training for 12 months for IM Ireland, which I had to defer to IM Italy, which I also wasn't able to make due to work commitments. Financial loss aside, it felt like I had suffered an emotional loss too as so much had gone into the previous 10 months and I was on form for a good result I think.
I watched my metrics decline on TP like water running down the plug hole as I turned my back on the sport. A few weeks later I pulled a F*** It and signed up with Squad.
This weekend I ran a local marathon in a new PB of 3:44, over a mixed technical trail & road course - the Belleek Marathon Challenge, in Ballina, County Mayo, Ireland :)
Not only a new PB but my first podium, coming 2nd overall. Super stoked and revitalised going into the winter.
Thanks to everyone in PP
Best regards,
Martin

Martin, congratulations!
What an excellent story. There will always be ups and downs, and those downs sure do hurt in many ways. But, what an excellent turn of events you are having. We are so glad that things are going well for you and that Squad training is a solid fit for your training needs and lifestyle.
We can't wait to hear how things continue to progress. Onward and upward sir. Nice victory. Thanks for including us in your journey.
